North American Robotics Tournament

Sharon Robotics Team Places First at North American Robotics Tournament

Two Sharon robotics teams are back from California after competing with teams from all over North America and the world.  The Tiger Techs Robotics Teams competed with 80 teams from around the world. The FIRST LEGO League North American Robotics Tournament was held from May 18-20tht, 2018 at the LEGOLAND Resort in Carlsbad, California.

While at LEGOLAND, the Tiger Techs competed in robot performance, research, and Core Values. The Tiger Techs (team 2) placed first in Core Values: Gracious Professionalism.  Gracious Professionalism is at the core of FIRST LEGO League.  It’s the element of FIRST that clearly states “Character” is what matters, in FIRST and in life.   In addition to placing in teamwork, both teams placed in the top third for their robot performance.

For the third year in a row, the Tiger Techs qualified to attend the international event at the Western PA Grand Championship Tournament at La Roche College in Pittsburgh.
